GATE 2021 Exam Date: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 exam is going to begin from 5th February 2021. The GATE 2021 Exam will be conducted on multiple days i.e., on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14. As per the GATE 2021 schedule, the exam will be conducted over two sessions on each exam date mentioned above — morning and evening. An applicant going to take the GATE 2021 Exam is advised to go to the official GATE website — gate.iitb.ac.in to check details like exam pattern, guideline, age limit, etc.

Timing for the GATE 2021 exam morning shift will be 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and for the evening shift, timing will be 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

GATE 2021 Exam Pattern

There are 27 subject papers and two new subjects have been added. GATE 2021 examination test papers will be objective type comprising these patterns — Multiple Choice Questions.The number of subject papers that are allowed is One or Two. From a given list of combinations of papers, two paper combinations are allowed and the candidate will have to select that only. As per the availability of dates and infrastructure, the final allotment of TWO papers will take place.

The validity of the GATE 2021 score is THREE years from the date of GATE 2021 result announcement.

There is no age limit for an applicant to sit in the GATE 2021 Exam.

GATE 2021 Exam Guidelines

GATE 2021 Exam candidates are advised to reach the examination center 60 minutes before the GATE 2021 exam scheduled time. It will make their photo identification, etc. pre-exam formalities done in a smooth and relaxed environment.

The candidate must carry its GATE 2021 Exam Admit Card. Failing to this, the candidate won't be allowed to enter the examination hall.

One must take the GATE 2021 Exam Admit Card in A-4 size paper.

It's mandatory to carry one original ID along with the GATE 2021 Exam Admit Card for photo identification.

No electronic items like calculator, mobile, watch, etc. will be allowed to be carried inside the examination hall.

Avoid carrying any valuable item inside the examination hall.

No one would be allowed to enter the examination hall after 9:30 AM or 3:00 PM and none of the appearing examinees will be allowed to come out of the examination hall before the scheduled end time of the examination.

Candidates will be provided with a virtual or on-screen calculator for calculations.

Candidates will be given rough sheets for numerical calculation too.

COVID guidelines for GATE 2021 Exam

Any candidate having body temperature above 94.4 degree Fahrenheit will have to give an exam in the Covid Isolation area built within the GATE 2021 Exam center. Apart from this, it is also mandatory for the candidates to wear face masks, hand gloves and personal hand sanitizers.
