Exams Postponed 2021 Latest News: Several students had demanded the cancellation of the upcoming exams because of the surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. Finally, keeping in view the adverse COVID-19 situation in the country, the Union Education Ministry has taken a call.

As per a report by india.com, on Monday, the Union Education Ministry asked all centrally-funded institutions to postpone all offline exams that were scheduled to be conducted in the month of May keeping in view the COVID-19 situation in the country. This decision of the government will affect the IITs, NITs, IIITs , central universities among others. It has also been clarified by the ministry that the offline exams can take place.

As per ANI, in a letter to the heads of all institutions funded by the central government, Higher Education Secretary Amit Khare has urged the institutions to postpone all the exams scheduled in the month of May 2021. Following this announcement, Delhi University has postponed its final year examinations till June. Several other universities have also followed DU.

In the letter written by the Higher Education Secretary, it has been stated that a decision on conducting these exams will be taken after a review of the situation in the first week of June.

Earlier on Monday, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consented in postponing NEET PG 2021 Exam by at least four months. Now, there is no possibility for the NEET PG 2021 exam to take place before August 31, 2021. This decision was taken in order to make more qualified doctors available for pandemic duty and pressing medical interns into service.

Due to the second wave of the pandemic many exams have been cancelled or postponed. The JEE Main 2021 April session exams have been postponed till further notice. The UGC NET 2021 exam which was scheduled to take place in the month of May has also been postponed.

Last month, the government cancelled CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. Following CBSE's decision, the CISCE and several other state boards have also decided to follow the same path. Recently, there has also been twitter trends on #cancel12thboardexams2021.
