This is for the first time in two years, schools are being completely opened for students in offline mode, as per a PTI report.
The schools in the national capital were closed in March 2020 ahead of a nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of the coronavirus. The schools were later opened in phases when they were operated in hybrid mode.
"All schools may conduct offline classes for students of grade 10 and 12. Consent of parents for attending offline classes is not mandatory. Schools may also deploy transportation facilities for the convenience of students and parents with COVID-appropriate behaviour being followed," the DoE said in a letter to schools.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) issued a order on Saturday that said that the blended and hybrid mode (online and offline) of learning and consent from parents will only be followed for students up to class 9 and those in class 11 till March 31.
With the COVID-19 cases in the country declining and everything going back to normal, the schools in the national capital are also restoring to the old practices of offline education.
