Delhi Schools Class 9, 11 exams: CANCELLED! Check result date; Students to be promoted - know basis, criteria
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi government has announced the cancellation of Class 9 and 11 examinations in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. As per a statement by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, students will be evaluated based on their performance in mid-term examinations.

"Discussed the assessment & promotion policy for class 9th & 11th students with the @Dir_Education and team. Annual examinations for class 9th & 11th will be cancelled. Students will be promoted on the basis of mid-term examinations," the minister tweeted.

He further informed that the online registration process for admission in Class 6 to 9 in Delhi government school will begin from Friday, June 11 and the last date for registration will be June 30.
The admission list will be released on July 14. Also, students who will not be able to apply in the first phase will be able to register themselves from July 23 to August 6 and the admission list will be released on August 19.

Talking about the marking scheme, Sisodia said that any school, government or private, in which only mid-term examinations were held and annual examinations could not be conducted, will declare the result based on the student’s performance in the mid-term examination.
While schools that have not been able to conduct mid-term exams for all the subjects will release the result on the basis of best two subjects’ marks.
The results of Class 9 and 11 in Delhi government schools will be released on June 22. Students will be able to access the result on the website, through SMS and WhatsApp.
Those who could not appear or pass the mid-term examinations will be assessed through projects and assignment work at the school level. A complete set of guidelines will be issued in this regard on June 22.
