Delhi Nursery Admission 2023 application process begins age limit merit list credit points important dates

Delhi Nursery Admission 2023: The admission process to nursery classes at private schools in Delhi for the 2023 academic session begins on December 1. The last date to register for Nursery admission is December 23. Over 1,800 schools in the national capital will be participating in the admission process for the entry-level classes.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2023: Age limit  

The lower age limit is 4 years. For KG, the age limit is 5 years and for Class 1, it is 6 years as on March 31, 2023.  

Delhi Nursery Admission 2023: Merit list

• Admission details, along with the number of seats available will be announced by schools on December 16. 
• Delhi Nursery admission 2023 first merit list for private schools will be released by the government on January 20, 2023.
• The second merit list will be released on February 6, 2023.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2023: Credit points  

Schools usually allot points to applicants based on their distance from the school, them having siblings in the school or if a parent is an alumnus.

"No deviation from the above schedule shall be permitted. Each school shall display the aforesaid admission schedule on its notice board and website. Further, each school shall ensure that application forms for admission are made available to all applicants till the last date of submission," Delhi DoE said in the notification.

A non-refundable amount of only Rs 25 can be charged as an admission registration fee. The purchase of the prospectus of the school by the parents will be optional.

All private unaided recognized schools admitting children in pre-school, pre-primary and/or Class-1 level will reserve 25 per cent of seats for EWS/DG category students and children with disabilities as defined in RPWD Act.
