ICSE, ISC exams 2021 have been postponed. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Friday announced that the ICSE (class 10) and ISC (class 12) exams, slated to start from May 4, have been deferred due to worsening Covid 19 pandemic situation across the country. The CISCE said that the new dates will be announced later after taking stock of the situation.

It has been decided that class 12 exams will be held at a later date, while class 10 students can choose to not appear in the exam when the offline exam takes place later, said CISCE secretary Gerry Arathoon. 

Like CBSE class 10 exam, in that case, a fair criterion will be developed by the council for the evaluation. But those who want to write the exams can do so when new dates for the offline exams are announced. 

"The Covid situation will be closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE and ISC 2021 examinations will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the board examinations will be taken by the 1st week of June 2021," the press note of the council said. 

Meanwhile, Cambridge International cancelled exams in India. It will use school-assessed grades instead for Stds X to XII. Earlier, CBSE had cancelled class 10 exam 2021 and postponed class 12 exam. Barely two days ahead of the scheduled exam, NEET PG 2021 was also postponed after students relentlessly carried out a Twitter campaign #postponeneetpg.  

Meanwhile, CBSE class 10 students will be promoted on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by CBSE. "Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams," tweeted the education ministerCISCE postpones ICSE, ISC exams 2021, Cambridge International cancels Class 10, 12 exams—details on CBSE, NEET too. 

For NEET PG 2021 and CBSE class 12 exam 2021, respective board and authorities will announce dates ater reading Covid 19 situation in MAy or June.
