The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has signed a a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in order to train and enhance the skills of students and teachers of the CBSE affiliated schools.

As per a PTI report, CBSE chairman Manoj Ahuja stated, "The collaboration of CBSE and AICTE will go a long way in students' facilitation who will now be aware about the emerging areas in technology and get timely and appropriate guidance."

Of late, the CBSE is adopting certain innovative measures to make the curriculum exciting for the students. The CBSE aims at fulfilling the objectives envisaged by the National Education Policy (NEP).
In order to make the curriculum exciting and interesting for the students, the CBSE has recently launched more than 100 comic books created by teachers of CBSE affiliated schools and curated by NCERT. The learner profile of each child needs transformation across every learning stage and age. With the help of these valuable resources, the government's aim is to make a joyful learning experience for students. Here are some features of these comic books:
1) They are divided into smaller topics supported by worksheets and it dovetails with the learning objectives and outcomes
2) It consists of application-based examples to understand concepts and decrease the learning gap
3) While deconstructing the academic content; care has been taken to address issues of gender sensitivity, women empowerment, value education among other life skills
The CBSE has also introduced another initiative which is the competency-based assessment framework. This framework aims at strengthening India’s existing school education system for secondary level, that is, from classes 6 to10 and improve the overall learning outcomes of students across the country, mainly covering three subjects - English, Science and Maths.
Coming back to the collaboration of CBSE with AICTE, as a part of the programme, the CBSE and the AICTE will launch programmes for training of CBSE school teachers on AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL), National Education Alliance for Technology (NEAT), among other initiatives.
Speaking in this context, AICTE chairman Anil D Sahasrabuddhe said, "The digital learning platforms of the AICTE are expected to reshape the way in which students learned so far."
As a part of this initiative, webinars and social media campaigns at national as well as regional levels will also be organized to encourage the students.
This year, the CBSE board exams for class 10 class 12 students are scheduled to commence from May 4, 2021.
