CBSE Class 12th Board Cancellation Report: A section of CBSE Class 12 students and their parents have been pushing for cancellation of exams citing prevailing Covid conditions in the country. They have been also running a Twitter campaign asking the Central Board of Education and authorities concerned to cancel the CBSE Class 12 exams. Meanwhile, several reports also hinted at cancellation of Class 12 board exams 2021. As the speculation around the CBSE Class 12 board exam cancellation started to build up, the Board has come forward to settle the rumour.

Responding to a query regarding CBSE Class 12 board exams cancellation report, a senior CBSE official told PTI that nothing of that sort has been decided. "It is clarified that no such decision (cancellation of exams) has been taken regarding class 12 board examination, as being speculated. Any decision taken in this matter will be officially communicated to the public, "he said.
Decision on CBSE Class 12 exam 2021 sooner than expected
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has also clarified the same and said as against June, now the decision on CBSE 12th Board Exams 2021 may be taken by May 25, reported Times Now. Earlier, the ministry had said any decision concerning CBSE Class 12 board exam dates would be taken in the first week of June after assessing Covid 19 situation then.
The reports about cancellation of CBSE Class 12 Board exam started doing the rounds on the internet after a senior education ministry official allegedly told TOI that the CBSE 12th board exams may be scrapped and CSBE may have to work out an alternative assessment scheme for the Class 12 students.
Earlier in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14, the CBSE has decided to cancel Class 10 exams and postpone class 12 exams.
CBSE Class 10 students assessment criteria
CBSE Class 10 students will be promoted to next class based on alternative marking and assessment scheme. As per the CBSE, 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment, 80 marks will be calculated on basis of the students' performance in various tests or exams conducted throughout the year.
