The assessment criteria shared by the CBSE to Supreme Court stated that the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 result will be assessed on the basis of the performance in Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12. The break up of marks for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 are as follows:

Class 12 - Marks based on Unit Test/ Mid-term/ Pre-board Exam with 40 per cent weightage

Class 11 - Marks based on theory component of final exam with 30 per cent weightage

Class 10 - Marks based on average theory component of best three performing subjects out of five main subjects with 30 per cent weightage

It has to be noted that the marks of practical exams and internal assessments for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be on actual basis as uploaded by the schools on the CBSE portal. Furthermore, the total marks awarded to the students should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in CBSE Class 12 Board Exams.

In the policy, it has also been mentioned by CBSE that for the formulation of marks for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students, each school will have to form a result committee consisting of five members.

The CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled on June 1, 2021 due to the pandemic situation of the country. It was notified that the CBSE will announce an evaluation criteria for the students. Today at the Supreme Court hearing, the board submitted the above-mentioned policy.
