The Supreme Court will hear petitions related to CBSE, ICSE and state board exams for class 12 today. It is expected that an announcement on the evaluation criteria on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be made soon by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CBSE board exam candidates must keep an eye on the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.

According to a report by Live Law, a vacation bench comprising Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari is scheduled to hear at 11 am, the filed by Advocate Mamta Sharma seeking cancellation of the ICSE CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021. CBSE and ICSE are expected to inform the court about the alternative mode of assessment for Class 12 Board Exams 2021.
Following the decision of the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE was asked by the Supreme Court to devise an alternative assessment scheme in two weeks. The CBSE had set up a 13-member committee to decide the marking scheme.
It also has to be remembered that on the last hearing of Mamta Sharma's plea, Supreme Court had granted two weeks' time to the CBSE and the ICSE to decide the objective criteria for the evaluation of the Class 12 Board Exams 2021 candidates. Attorney General for India KK Venugopal, appearing for the CBSE, had informed the bench about the decision taken by the Central Government on June 1 to cancel the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 and had further submitted that a decision would be taken within a couple of weeks.
As per a Times Now report, the CBSE committee set up by CBSE is considering the results of the students in Class 10 and Class 11 as well as various internal parameters. It has also been informed that the CBSE-affiliated schools will be given one month to compute and submit the marks to CBSE. The report further stated that expectedly the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 results will be released by August 15, 2021.
