CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News: Putting an end to all the anxiety and stress of the students and their guardians, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 has been cancelled. The decision to call off the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was taken yesterday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting on this issue. How will the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students evaluated? 

As per the notification issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), "Class-XII assessment will be made as per well-defined objective criteria in a time bound manner." The CBSE has further informed that if any student is not satisfied with the marks allotted to him or her, he or she will be given the option of appearing in the exams when the circumstances will be favourable for conducting the exams.

As per the release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), in yesterday's meeting, the PM said that all stakeholders need to show sensitivity for students. He has also directed officials to ensure that the results are prepared in accordance with well-defined criteria, in a fair and time-bound manner. It has also been decided that like last year, in case some students desire to take the exams, such an option would be provided to them by CBSE, as and when the situation becomes conducive.

Notably, when the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled, the CBSE stated that the results for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be compiled on the basis of an 'objective criterion'. Later, the board had also announced the marks tabulation policy for the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students. 

How will the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students be evaluated? 

As per the CBSE notification for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 results, the students will be assessed out of maximum 100 marks for each subject. As per the policy of the board, 20 marks are for internal assessment and 80 marks for year-end board exams. 

Due to the cancellation of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021, the assessment of 80 marks will be done by the schools, based on the following criteria: 

1) based on the marks scored by the candidate in different tests or exams conducted by the school during the year

2) the marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in CBSE Class 10 Board Exams

Each school has also been instructed by the CBSE to constitute a Result Committe consisting of the Principal and seven teachers for finalising the results. 

When CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 results are expected? 

With the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 now cancelled, the candidates must be wondering when the results for the exams will be announced. Advocate Mamta Sharma who filed the petition in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the CISCE CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021, tweeted from her Twitter account that she will request the apex court to specify a date for the declaration of the results. Her tweet said, "On 03rd June will request Hon'ble Apex Court to specify a date by which result would be declared to ensure result is not delayed further." Incidentally, the hearing of the plea that was submitted by Sharma has been adjourned till Thursday.

Incidentally, the CBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 were supposed to take place in the offline mode this year from May 4, 2021, till June 14, 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 situation in the country both the exams had to be called off.
