CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News: In the high-level government meeting on Sunday, it was decided that states and union territories may like to further examine the matter on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will send their feedback in writing by today,  May 25, 2021. The consultation was chaired by the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and was attended by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. In the meeting, the impact of the importance of the Class 12 Board Exams 2021 and the All India Entrance exams in shaping the future and defining the careers of students was discussed. Also, various options regarding the methodology, process, duration and timings of the exams were discussed.

On Tuesday, Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary emphasised on the fact that in the present circumstances, it is not possible to conduct the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 as per ANI. ANI tweeted, "CBSE board examinations should be conducted as it plays a vital role in students’ life. However, this can’t happen amid the current situation. But a tentative date should be announced. There is also an option of online examination: Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary." The Bihar Education Minister has also asked for the announcement for a tentative date and also suggested to explore the possibility of conducting online exam. 

 

On April 14, 2021, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postponed the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 keeping in view the COVID-19 situation in the country. The board notified that the decision on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be notified to the students by June 1, 2021.  

According to an ANI report on May 23, 2021, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 is likely to be conducted and its date and format are to be announced by the Union Education Minister on May 30, 2021, as per sources. 

Though majority of the states and union territories are in favour of conducting the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021, the Maharashtra Education Minister has proposed for a 'non-examination route' for the class 12 students because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaikwad highlighted the fact that the health and mental well-being of the students and their families must be prioritised. She further pointed out the fact that the students and the parents have been sharing their concerns on the sitting for the exams amidst the pandemic. Gaikwad wrote from her twitter handle, "Students have been studying in class 12th for over 14 months. Personally, I believe that we should remove the uncertainty regarding exams & take a decision that is in student's interest." 

 

So far, there has not been any official announcement from the CBSE on the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. The CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students must keep an eye on the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in for any latest updates.
