CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 Latest News Today: After the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 was cancelled on June 1, 2021, the CBSE had set up a 13-member committee to decide the marking scheme within 10 days on June 4, 2021. The panel was asked to submit the report by June 14,2021 regarding the evaluation of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students. However, it seems that the board exam candidates will have to be patient for some more time for the announcement of the evaluation criteria for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. After the evaluation criteria is announced, the board exam candidates will be able to check the procedure by logging into the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.

According to a Times Now report, committee members had asked and have been granted two days extension. The final report would be submitted and presented to the public and to the Supreme Court by June 16, 2021. Furthermore, it has been informed that the Supreme Court would be hearing the CBSE case on June 17. Notably, the petitioners have also asked that the marks may be evaluated only on the basis of internal marks. There are reports that previous year's results are also under consideration.
According to a report by The Indian Express, sources in the Education Ministry informed that the 12-member expert committee set up by the CBSE discussed this option at a meeting held on Saturday. The ministry official on the condition of anonymity said, "The broad consensus was to factor in marks scored in the Class 10 Boards, Class 11 (annual) exam, and Class 12 pre-Boards. There were differences about the exact weightage to be given to each component. That final decision will be taken by CBSE."
Following this decision of the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE was asked by the Supreme Court to devise an alternative assessment scheme in two weeks.
It is also expected that to keep in check the inflation of marks, the CBSE might instruct the schools to ensure that the marks awarded to the students are in accordance to the performance of the school in CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 in the last three years. The government sources also informed that to favour objective reflection of the marks, the expert committee members considered using Class 10 marks during the meeting on Saturday. The performance of Class 11 and Class 12 pre-boards will also be taken into account.
However, till now there has been no official announcement on behalf of CBSE and expectedly the evaluation criteria for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students will be made by June 16, 2021. For regular updates, the students must check the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
