CBSE Class 10, Class 12 board exams: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice warning students of fake date sheet about Class 10, Class 12 exams doing the rounds on several social media platforms. CBSE warning comes on the same day when Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ took to twitter and interacted with students, parents and teachers about conduct of these exams.
In a notice issued by Dr Sanyam Bharadwaj, Controller of Exams, CBSE, he said, “It has come to the notice of the CBSE that on several social media platforms and in News papers dates/months for starting of Class 10 and 12 board examinations and Practical examinations are being circulated. As this circulated message is not correct, hence, creating panic amongst the schools, students and parents. In this regard, it is communicated to all the affiliated schools, students, parents and other stakeholders that do not believe on such information.”
“For any official information, kindly check the CBSE official website: www.cbse.nic.in. If information is available on the official website, it is correct otherwise not,” said the official notice by the CBSE Controller of Exams regarding CBSE Class 10, Class 12 board exams.
CBSE is well aware of the condition of the students and parents in the times of the pandemic, and, therefore, whatsoever, decision would be taken by the CBSE that will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time through board’s website.
Earlier, education minister also held an interactive session with all the stakeholder of the CBSE and provided much needed clarity about these exams. Here is what he said about CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams.
Practical Exams: Practical examination will be conducted in school labs when the normal classes will resume. The board is yet to issue a notification in this regard. An external examiner will be deputed for practical examinations.
Alternative Option For Practicals: Interacting with students, teachers, and parents, the education minister said that if students are not able to go to schools for practical exams, alternate options will be given.
CBSE Datesheet: CBSE datesheet for Class X, XII board examinations will be published after some time. The datasheet will be prepared only after the consultation with the stakeholders. However, exams will be held in such a way that students will get more gap days.
Exam Centres: The number of examination centres but there will be no home center. In the wake of COVID-19, only 12 students will be seated in an exam room.
Examination Pattern: Examination pattern will be the same as the Sample Papers 2021, issued by CBSE.
