CBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exam 2021: The recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country has really thrown a lot of schedules into disarray. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was forced to cancel the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and postpone the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. This decision by CBSE seemed to be the most feasible option as soon the CISCE and various other state boards followed suit. As per the CBSE notification, the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 which was supposed to begin from May 4, 2021, has been postponed now. A decision regarding the revised date sheet for the exams will be taken after a thorough review of the COVID-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021. Expectedly, the revised date sheet for Science, Arts and Commerce will now release in the month of June and the subject-wise dates will be updated accordingly.

As for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021, the exams have been cancelled and the results of the students will be compiled on the basis of an 'objective criterion'. As per a dnindia.com report, several schools have already started the registration process for Class 11 admission and are admitting the students on provisional basis. The admission of these Class 10 students will be finalised once they receive the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 marks. Some schools have also started counselling the students to help them in choosing their subjects for Class 11 as these schools are planning to start the new session from the first week of May.

Recently, the CBSE has also issued an important notification regarding the exam pattern for Classes 9 to 12 from the academic session 2021-22. The board has announced for a competency-based question pattern for these classes that will help to evaluate the students on the basis of application of concepts in real-life/ unfamiliar situations that will be part of the question paper. This new question pattern will evaluate the application of concepts by the students in real-life or unfamiliar situations.
