CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 Result: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has finally announced the policy for tabulation of marks for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021. After the CBSE announced the cancellation of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and stated that the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be evaluated on the basis of an 'objective criterion', there were a lot of concerns and confusion among the parents and the students. The CBSE has notified its policy for tabulation of marks for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 based on the internal assessments conducted by schools. The CBSE has stated that the students will be assessed out of 100 marks for each subject. As per the policy of the board, 20 marks are allotted to internal assessment and 80 marks for the year-end board exams. Due to the cancellation of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021, the CBSE-affiliated schools will assess the 80 marks of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students in the following ways:
a) based on the marks scored by the candidate in different tests/exams conducted by the school in the course of the year
b) the marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in CBSE Class 10 Board exams
As for the internal assessment, most of the schools have already conducted the internal assessment and a majority of the schools have already uploaded their data on the CBSE portal.
The CBSE has also asked all schools to submit their data for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 internal assessment by June 11, 2021. The board has also clarified the fact that while developing this assessment policy for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021, the board has focused on four key principles - reliability, fairness, flexibility and validity.
The CBSE has cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 scheduled to start from May 4, 2021 in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country.
