The CBSE cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 on April 14, 2021 due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 candidates will be marked on the basis of an assessment criteria formulated by the CBSE.
Before the declaration of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 results, the students must know these important pointers. They are as follows:
1) As per the assessment policy for CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 results, there internal assessment is for 20 marks and the assessment of 80 marks is done by the schools. This assessment is based on the marks scored by the students in different tests/exams conducted by the schools during the year. Moreover, the marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021.
2) For compiling the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 results, the different categories of the tests and exams include periodic test / unit test, Half Yearly/ Mid-term exams and Pre-board exams. The maximum marks allotted for these three categories are 10, 30 and 40, respectively.
3) For finalising the results, each school formed a result committee as per the instructions of CBSE. The result committee consists of the principal and seven teachers. Among these seven teachers, five teachers are from the respective schools from Mathematics, Social Science, Science and two languages. The other two teachers are from neighbouring schools co-opted by the schools as external members of the committee.
4) The subject wise marks assessed by the school for 2021 should be within a range of +-2 marks obtained by the school in the subject in the reference year. However, the overall average marks for the school assessed in 2021, in case of all the five main subjects, should not exceed the overall average marks obtained by the school in the reference year.
5) CBSE will compute the result based on uploaded theory and internal assessment marks. At the time of computation of results, the board's policy of awarding grace marks will also be applied to those candidates who do not meet the qualifying criterion.
