CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2021: Board announces big relief for students, gives 'last chance' to schools to make correction in registration data

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has allowed schools to fill LOC for their left-out students of Class 10 and Class 12 board examination, keeping Covid-19 challenges in mind. The school can also make correction in the registration/LOC data already filled during this period.

Besides, CBSE allowed newly affiliated schools to register their students in classes 9 and 11, while permitting old –affiliated schools to register their left-out students in Class 9 and 11.  

"As per the requests received from the schools, these facilities are extended to the schools last time keeping in view the problems faced by the student/schools because of Covid through their login account on CBSE website," CBSE said in a statement giving relief to schools and students.  

Newly affiliated CBSE schools will be allowed to register their Class 9 and Class 11 students from February 8 to 13, 2021. During this period, old affiliated CBSE schools will be able to register left out students of Class 9 and 11; and fill LOC of their left-out students in Class 10 and 12.

As per the CBSE notification, these exercises have to be completed from February 18 to February 20.  

It said newly affiliated schools can register their students in classes 9 and 11 without late fee and for that matter schools may get in touch with their CBSE regional office.  Rest of the schools will pay late fee as applicable, it added.

It also warned schools that no further extension in last date will be given. In case, the students are admitted after the last date as communicated earlier, permission/approval from CBSE is mandatory. Other rules and regulations will remain the same, the CBSE said.
