As the Board has to declare the result latest by July 31, schools are requested to follow the schedule strictly and complete the moderation with schedule, CBSE has mentioned.
The CBSE Board has notified that the portal for moderation and finalisation of results for Class 12 is being opened from today Afternoon, July 16 till July 22 midnight.
The board informed: “As per the time schedule given in policy, the portal for moderation and finalisation of results for Class 12 is being opened from July 16 (Afternoon) to July 22 (Mid-night).”

As the Board has to declare the result latest by July 31, schools are requested to follow the schedule strictly and complete the moderation with schedule, CBSE has mentioned. “If any school is left to complete the moderation within stipulated schedule, their result will be declared separately after July 31,” the Board said.
The Board has further mentioned that it is important to reiterate that the common objective before all of us is a declaration of valid, reliable, and unbiased results of the students in the pandemic situation.
To aid the schools, CBSE has provided marks, including distribution of marks based on the best performance of previous three years which is taken as reference for the purpose of moderation.
CBSE has mentioned that schools are once again directed to follow the reference distribution while moderation marks. Also, to ensure comparability and fairness at the higher range of marks, the school should exercise due diligence and ensure that there is no bunching of total marks in the range of 95 and above.
“They will therefore have to restrict the number of students at each level of overall marks from 95 and above, to ensure that this number is not more than the number of students scoring these overall marks, as per the best historic performance of the last three years,” the Board has said.
The Board has also shared the board pattern of distribution of students' total marks theory and practical of a school for the composite total of Class 10, Class 11, and Class 12 theory marks has been provided by the CBSE.
