The Education Minister tweeted about this interaction with the students yesterday from his official Twitter handle. The tweet said, "I will be interacting with dear students tomorrow at 4 PM to discuss their concerns & queries related to evaluation of CBSE board exams. If you have any doubts or suggestions, you may share them through Twitter or Facebook by the afternoon of June 25th." He has also requested the students that if they have any doubts and queries related to the exams, they can share them through Facebook and Twitter by today afternoon.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 on April 14, 2021. The board also called off the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 on June 1, 2021 due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country. The CBSE notified that the results of the CBSE Class 10 Class 12 will be formulated on the basis of an objective criteria. The CBSE has also announced the marks tabulation policy for CBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exam 2021 candidates.
In its notification, the CBSE had said that the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be assessed out of maximum 100 marks for each subject. 20 marks will be allotted to internal assessment and 80 marks for year-end board exams. As per the CBSE notification, the CBSE-affiliated schools will assess the 80 marks of the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students based on the marks scored by the candidate in different tests/exams conducted by the school in the course of the year. Also, the marks should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in CBSE Class 10 Board exams.
In case of CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. marks from class 10, class 11 and class 12 will be taken into consideration. The assessment of the theory marks will be done in the following way:
Class 12 - Marks based on Unit Test/ Mid-term/ Pre-board Exam with 40 per cent weightage
Class 11 - Marks based on theory component of final exam with 30 per cent weightage
Class 10 - Marks based on average theory component of best three performing subjects out of five main subjects with 30 per cent weightage
On Thursday, the Supreme Court has also directed all the state boards to notify their assessment criteria for the board exams within 10 days and to declare the results by July 31, 2021.
