CBSE Board exam 2021: The most talked about issue pertaining to CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams is the date of their launch. Many students and parents had been demanding that CBSE exams dates be postponed to May or June citing lack of preparations due to closure of schools, owing to the Covid 19 pandemic.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' chose to address all issues related to CBSE Board exam 2021 by selecting certain questions that would cover most of the demands or at least provided much needed clarity sought by these students. He took to twitter to interact with the all the stakeholders of the CBSE, including students, teachers and parents on December 10. He talked on wide range of topics, including JEE 2021 and NEET 2021 exams. He made it clear that CBSE Board Exams 2021 will be held for sure, however, he stopped short of announcing any dates.
Significantly, the education minister, gave a major relief to the students of CBSE Class 10 and class 12, by saying that they need not worry as the government and CBSE will give more than sufficient time to them for the exams’ preparations based on new paper pattern. That will surely, be much welcomed step as they would not want the gap to be small since the burden on them is so much greater this time.
“The students will be given sufficient time to prepare for their exams on new pattern. It is not something that the exams have to be held in March, but any decision about the dates of these exams will be taken keeping Covid 19 situation in the mind. Accordingly, dates will be announced,” Nishank had said during his ‘Education Minister Goes Live’ campaign on twitter.
He also assured that practical exam dates will also not clash with any entrance exams.
Talking further about practical exams, he had said when normal classes resume, practical examinations will be conducted in School labs. An external examiner will be deputed for practical examinations.
"Considering that these are pandemic affected times, for those students who would not be able to go to their schools to take their practical exams, an alternative solution will be found,” he said.
