During his address at an online conference organised by SAI International Education Group 'CBSE Board Examinations - Demystified', CBSE controller of exam Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj notably said that his organisation will not leave any stones unturned for the benefit of students. He also advised the students to focus on their studies without paying any heed to rumours and false pretense.
The CBSE Board Exam 2021 for class 10 class 12 students are scheduled to start from May 4, 2021 and will continue till June 14, 2021. Due to the spike in the number of coronavirus cases across the country, there have been requests from students and guardians to either cancel or postpone the board exams. Hashtags #CancelBoardExams2021 and #CancelBoards2021 have been trending on Twitter. Also, more than one lakh students of classes 10 and 12 have signed petitions urging the government to either cancel CBSE Board Exam 2021 scheduled to be held in May or conduct them in online mode.
Earlier this month, an old CBSE notification from 2020 was also being circulated on social media and rumours were being spread that the CBSE has introduced certain changes in conducting the CBSE Board Exam 2021 class 10 class 12. Reacting to these rumours, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) tweeted, "There are some persons deliberately trying to create confusion about this year's board exams by circulating old news of 1.4.20 regarding X and XII exams. Students should ignore this old circular of last year and not be misled. Board has not issued any such information."

While addressing the concerned parents, Dr. Bhardwaj said, "It is so difficult for you all, it's a risk to send them to the examination, but kindly continue to support us. Ensure that your child follows all the given precautionary measures." He further added that the teachers are their most important stakeholders, and they cannot do anything without the support of the parents.
He also added, “I have a very good team of 25000 schools with me and when I have such a good team with me, no one will have stress on their face. The stress is to meet the guidelines. I am utilising the services of my schools who are always ready to support me."
Regarding the board practical exams, the CBSE had issued a circular stating that in case any CBSE board exam candidate fails to appear for the CBSE board 2021 practical exams because he/she tested COVID positive or any of the close family members of the students tested COVID positive, the concerned schools will have to re-conduct the practical exams for such students in consultation with the CBSE regional office latest by June 11.
