The CBSE issued a letter to all the principals and heads of CBSE affiliated schools that stated, "It has come to the notice of the board that because of Covid-19 pandemic, students of classes 10, 12, along with their families, have shifted to some other city or country and therefore, they are unable to appear in the practical/ theory exam from the school/ exam centre where the students are registered for the boards examination."
The class 10 class 12 students can request a change for their exam centre till March 25, 2021 to their respective schools. The schools will upload their requests latest by March 31, 2021.
In order to make a request a change in the exam centre, the CBSE class 10 class 12 board exam candidates must note the process and other details. They are as follows:
1) The student concerned will have to make a request to the school regarding the change of exam centre (theory/practical/both). While making the request, the student must also inform the school and the city, he/she would prefer to appear for the exams. Based on the request received by the school from the student, the school will login to the school account on the CBSE website and submit the details of the student and the change required.
2) The student must note that the choice of city from where the student would like to appear for the exams should be chosen carefully as no alteration will be allowed once the request is submitted by the school.
3) In case there is a change for both the theory and practical exams centres, both will be changed for one city only. Two separate cities, that is, one for practical and one for theory, will not be allowed.
4) The CBSE will allot an exam centre in the requested city or a neighbouring city. The decision of CBSE will be final.
5) In case of the practical exams, marks will be uploaded as per the instructions by the school from where a student has appeared for the practical exam.
6) The school from where the student was registered will mark 'T', that is, 'Transfer case' in front of the name and roll number of the candidate in the online link.
7) In case, any student is suffering from COVID-19 and is not able to appear in practical exam, the school can also make a request for change of city through the same login id.
For further information, the candidates are requested to login to the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
