CBSE Board exam 2021: Ever-rising Covid 19 cases have opened serious discussion about conducting the upcoming CBSE class 10, class 12 Board exam 2021, which is slated to begin from May 4. Students have been seeking cancellation of CBSE board exams 2021 and have also signed a petition in this regard requesting authorities concerned to cancel the Board exams. However, now they all also got from celebrities and politicians , who have come forward in support of CBSE class 10, class 12 students.

Recently, Maharashtra Board and Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) also announced to postpone the respective Board exams. Maharashtra Board HSC, SSC Exam 2021 will now be conducted in May and June. Earlier, Maharashtra SSC, HSC Board Exams 2021 was to begin in the last month of April.  Similarly, as per the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 revised datesheet, the exams will now commence from May 8 and conclude on May 28, 2021.  Earlier, UP Boards Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021, which was scheduled to start from April 24.
As students continue to seek postponement or cancellation of exams scheduled to start in almost three weeks, the officials have categorically denied any such plan.  

As per a report by TOI, the officials have said there is no plan to cancel CBSE exams 2021 or to conduct them online at present." The only point of discussion are the dates as the number of of cases are rising. There are still around three weeks left and developments, including increase in the number of Covid infections and containment zones are being discussed as part of assessing the situation. The primary discussion point is safety of the students and teachers and that will not be compromised,” TOI quoted official in the know of matter saying this.  

CBSE had earlier said, "Adequate arrangements are being made to ensure the students are safe and all COVID protocols are followed. The number of exam centres has been increased by 40-50 per cent to ensure social distancing. The staff at exam centres is being sensitised to ensure all guidelines are followed."
