CBSE while answering a question in the FAQs list said, “Any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated will be given an opportunity to appear in the exam to be conducted by CBSE as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.”

The central board earlier in April had cancelled the class 10 examinations amid the rising cases of coronavirus in the country. It meanwhile has postponed the Class 12 examinations and deliberations are one whether to cancel the Higher Secondary exams or not.

Lately, the board has also extended the date of uploading marks data till June 30, 2021, which will be made available to the school by the Board in the school login account on Boards website, CBSE said.

Answering a question on, if the school has been sponsoring the student for the last three or more years, what would be the reference year to calculate the marks for the Class 10 examination? The board, in this regard, said, “The year in which the performance of the school is the best in past 3 years and as shown by CBSE will be taken as the reference year.”

Adding further, it affirmed, most likely the reference year for the class 10 examination will be 2020.

Similarly, “if any candidate has not appeared in any of the assessments conducted by the school, the school may conduct an offline/online or a telephonic one to one assessment and record documentary evidences to certify the recommendations,” CBSE said while answering the question.

“The student may be assessed objectively on that basis by the school out of maximum marks of each subject.”
