CAT 2020 final answer key out on iimcat.ac.in; result likely in a week

CAT 2020 answer key: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has released the final answer key for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020. The announcement by the institute in-charge of holding the CAT 2020 exam, IIM Indore, came on December 30 and is available for download. MBA aspirants who had appeared in the CAT 2020 exam can check the final answer key on the official website of IIM Indore: iimcat.ac.in.  The result for CAT 2020 is expected by next week.  

As per the official notice released by IIM Indore, there have been no changes in the IIM CAT 2020 question paper for Shift 1 and 3. However, there is one change in the answer key for one question (ID 48916812935) in the QA section in Shift 2.

“After due deliberation and careful examination, the expert panels decided that there is no change in the answer key for Shift 1 and Shift 3 question papers. However, the answer key for one question (ID 48916812935) in the QA section in Shift 2 has been revised,” read the notification regarding final answer key released by the authorities concerned read.  

The answer key stands revised and candidates who have marked either of the two correct answers would be given marks, said the IIM Indore official notice. For the incorrect option, the negative mark would be applicable.

Candidates may sign in to their account login on iimcat.ac.in to check the answer keys and calculate their score. Percentile scores, however, would be available once the result is declared.  

As many as 2.27 lakh candidates had applied for CAT 2020. The exam was conducted in revised pattern in view of the Covid 19 situation. This time around, sectional time duration of CAT 2020 was reduced from 60 minutes to 40 minutes. Each section—verbal ability, comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning and quantitative ability — getting only 40 minutes each.  

Admissions to various IIMs and other top management colleges across the country will be done based on the CAT 2020 score.

The date for result has not been announced as yet. However, going by trends, CAT 2020 result should be out in a week as CAT exams final result is announced around January 4 or January 5.
