Now, in order to prepare the results for the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 candidates, authorities are depending on alternate options. The Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH) has announced that the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be promoted to the next class on the basis of the marks obtained in the internal assessment as per a report by The Times of India. As the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 has been cancelled in Haryana, the BSEH has informed all the affiliated schools to follow the above-mentioned criteria for promotion of the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also announced the cancellation of Class 10 Board Exam 2021. The results of the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be prepared on the basis of an 'objective criterion'. One must remember that a distinct pattern was followed by CBSE last year when the exams for certain papers were stalled because of the pandemic. For the students who appeared for three or more papers were given marks based on the average of the highest marks obtained in any three subjects they have appeared for. While those students who appeared for only two exams, the average of the two highest-scoring exams were considered while marking them for the paper which could not be held. The result for these students, especially those who appeared for less than two papers, was calculated based on performance in internal or practical or project-based assessment.
As per BSEH board officials, schools for Class 10 in Haryana reopened for the students in December last year and internal tests and assignments were conducted. The marks of the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 students will be based on these internal tests and assignments along with the practical exam marks which took place before the lockdown was announced in the state.
The BSEH Class 10 Board Exam 2021 was scheduled to commence from April 22, 2021 and was supposed to continue till May 12, 2021. However, the present COVID-19 scenario in the country has compelled the state authorities to cancel the board exams and evaluate the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 candidates on the basis of internal assessment.
