AP Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021 Latest News: Andhra Pradesh CANCELS class 10 and inter exams, results to be announced by THIS DATE

According to an ANI report, while addressing a press conference Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh said, "Supreme Court had held a hearing on the inter-examinations of the Andhra Pradesh and issued orders to complete the entire process of examinations including the declaration of results by July 31." He further added that for Andhra Pradesh, it is not possible to conduct the inter exams and declare the results by July 31, 2021, so they have called off the exams.
Incidentally, on Thursday, the apex court of the country directed all the state boards to notify the assessment scheme within 10 days from today. It has further asked the state boards to declare the internal assessment results by July 31, 2021. A PTI report on June 23, 2021, stated that the Andhra Pradesh government told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that it will be able to conduct Class 12 exams successfully as there are no reliable alternatives to assess the state board students. The state government further added that it will tentatively hold the Class 12 examination in the last week of July and the timetable would be issued shortly.
On June 17, the top court was informed that out of 28 states, six states have already conducted the board exams, 18 states have cancelled them, but four states (Assam, Punjab, Tripura and Andhra Pradesh) have not cancelled them as of now.
According to the ANI report, the Andhra Pradesh government in its affidavit before the top court said that experts have been consulted and they are of the view that it will be feasible to hold the examination, hence the state will conduct the examination tentatively in the last week of July 2021.
The affidavit further said that about 5.20 lakh students will appear for the board examination and there would be precautionary measures in place including holding exams on alternate days and allowing only 15 to 18 students in one exam centre. Furthermore, the exam centres will follow social distancing and sanitisation protocols and also one medical officer will be present at the exam centres.
Due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, the CBSE cancelled the CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 on April 14, 2021. It also called off the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 on June 1, 2021. Soon after this decision by the CBSE, the ICSE and other state boards followed suit. Now, the Andhra Pradesh government also joins the list of states in cancelling the Class 10 Class 12 Board Exams 2021.
It must also be noted that the CBSE has notified the marks tabulation policy for CBSE Class 10 Class 12 Board Exam 2021 students.
