ZeeBiz Exclusive: Ace investor Madhu Kela positive on India growth amid global economic gloom
The world is passing through multiple crises of high inflation, tightening of monetary policy, high interest rates, slowdown in China which affected global supply chain, and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Ace investor Madhusudan Kela feels India is in a stable situation and the growth momentum is good even as advanced economies stare at recession.
Speaking exclusively with Zee Business, the Founder of MK Ventures said that "there is stability and market is at lifetime high despite the multiple crises across the world. India's Gross domestic product (GDP) is doing really well." "There may be some corrections in the market but I don't think this will have any impact on India's long-term outlook," he added.
India has emerged as a beacon of optimism for investors amid all the economic gloom surrounding advanced economies majorly because of country’s robust domestic demand picking up after a pandemic-induced slump.
And the veteran investor said that the present situation could be a good entry point for investors to capitalise. He shared, "bottom-up investing opportunities are present in manufacturing and infrastructure side and in furniture stocks. And maybe on the healthcare side."

The world is passing through multiple crises of high inflation, tightening of monetary policy, high interest rates, slowdown in China which affected global supply chain, and the Russia-Ukraine war. But MK Ventures' founder advised retail investors not to believe in any speculation and remain invested for a long period. "Do not believe in speculations for short-term gains. You have to remain invested for a long period of time. Equity will definitely give you good returns over a long period of time," he opined.
India is in a stable situation and the growth momentum is good. Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) to the government V Anantha Nageswaran had recently said, "India will have a growth rate of 6.5 per cent to seven per cent in 2022-23, which is considered to be good despite a high inflation rate of 7.4 per cent.”
