On Friday, crude oil prices fell by 0.17 per cent to Rs 7,012 per barrel in futures trading, as traders reduced their positions due to weak spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the crude oil contract for July delivery decreased by Rs 12, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 7,012 per barrel, with a trading volume of 6,895 lots. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude oil increased by 0.02 per cent to $83.90 per barrel, while Brent crude declined by 0.08 per cent to $87.36 per barrel.
