On Friday, crude oil prices in the futures market fell by 1.49 per cent to Rs 6,869 per barrel as traders reduced their positions due to weak spot demand. The July delivery contract dropped by Rs 104 to Rs 6,869 per barrel on the Multi Commodity Exchange, with 4,210 lots traded. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude fell 0.86 per cent to $82.11 per barrel, while Brent crude declined 0.66 per cent to $84.55 per barrel.
