Domestic oil marketing companies (OMCs) have reduced aviation turbine fuel (ATF) or jet fuel rates by Rs 5,883 per kiloliter, with effect from today (October 1).

Earlier, OMCs reduced the rates by Rs 4,495.48 per kiloliter.

The rates in four major states; Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai stand at R 87,597.22, Rs 90, 610.80, Rs 81,866.13, and Rs 90,964.43, respectively.

Moreover, OMCs have hiked liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) commercial cylinder (19kg) rates by Rs 48.50, which is also effective from today. Increased LPG rates come amidst fluctuating global commodity markets and rising demand for LPG.

After this measure, new rates of commercial cylinders in different cities stand as follows:

  • Delhi: Rs 1,740
  • Kolkata: Rs 1,850.50
  • Mumbai: Rs 1,692.50
  • Chennai: Rs 1,903
