Domestic oil marketing companies (OMCs) hiked liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) commercial cylinder (19kg) rates by Rs 62, which is effective from today.

After this, new rates of commercial cylinders in different cities stand as follows:

  • New Delhi: Rs 1,802
  • Kolkata: Rs 1,911.50
  • Mumbai: Rs 1,754.50
  • Chennai: Rs 1964.50

However, the prices of LPG cylinders (14.2 kg) meant for households remain unchanged.

have increased aviation turbine fuel (ATF) or jet fuel rates by Rs 2,941.5 per kiloliter, with effect from today (November 1).

The rates in four major states; Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai are Rs 90,538.72, Rs 93,392.79, Rs 84,642.91, and Rs 93,957.10, respectively.

Previously, OMCs had reduced the rates by Rs 5,883 per kiloliter.

Currently, three state-run oil marketing companies, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), review the prices of various fuels regularly. These companies align the retail prices of their petroleum products, ranging form LPG to petrol, diesel and aviation fuel, from time to time, aligning them with international benchmark rates and foreign exchange rates. 

The three companies, HPCL, BPCL and IOCL, also offer a range of online services to enable their customers to perform a range of tasks with convenience. These services enable them to check the latest prices and book cylinder refills.
