State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) on Tuesday hiked the retail prices of commercial LPG by Rs 48.5 rupees per 19-kilogram cylinder, effective immediately. However, the three PSUs left the retail prices of LPG meant for domestic use—sold and supplied in 14.2 kg units—at the existing levels. Currently, the three oil marketing companies review LPG prices regularly and announce any changes at the end or the middle of a month.

After the revision, the retail prices of Indane-brand LPG stood at Rs 1,740 per 19-kg cylinder in New Delhi, Rs 1,692.5 in Mumbai, Rs 1,850.5 in Kolkata, and Rs 1,903 in Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corp's website, iocl.com.

The prices of domestic-use LPG were left unchanged at Rs 803, Rs 802.5, Rs 829, and Rs 818.5 per 14.2-kg cylinder in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai respectively.

OMCs supply cooking gas meant for use by households and for commercial purposes in 14.2-kilogram and 19-kilogram refills respectively.  

Indian Oil supplies cooking gas under the Indane brand in different parts of the country. 

The three companies provide various services that enable their customers to check the current cooking gas prices in different parts of the country and book refills easily, including SMS- and IVRS-enabled facilities.
