Confirming the development in a tweet, the electricity board said, On Day 1, nearly 96,305 consumers registered which rose to 3,34 , 845 on Day 2 while Day 3 has seen nearly 3,95,481 registrations.
The state government's scheme of providing free electricity of up to 200 units to the domestic consumers of the state has received a good response, and as of 20th June 2023, 8,16,631 consumers enrolled for the Gruha Jyothi Scheme.

Step 1 - Log on to the official website of KPTCL at www.sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in.
Step 2 - Find the Gruha Jyoti Scheme registration section on the website.
Step 3 - Fill in the online registration form with all the required information.
Step 4 - Attach the documents, including proof of identity, proof of address, etc.
