CPI Inflation Data: Inflation eases to 5.22% in December

CPI Inflation Data: The central government today (Monday, January 13, 2025) announced Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for the month of December (2024), which was at 5.22 per cent compared to 5.48 per cent in November 2024 (month-on-month, MoM).  

Food inflation for December was at 8.39 per cent, 

Urban inflation for December was at 4.58 per cent compared to 4.83 per cent MoM.

Rural inflation for the same month stood at 5.76 per cent against 5.95 per cent recorded  in November.
