The Ministry of Coal on Thursday issued allocation orders for three coal mines, one fully explored and two partially explored, according to an official statement. The three mines are: Machhakata, Kudanali Lubri, and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi.

While the Machhakata mine order was issued to NLC India Ltd, the orders for the Kudanali Lubri and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi mines were issued to Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd and TANGEDCO respectively.

The ministry said that the cumulative peak rated capacity (PRC) of the three coal mines, for which the vesting orders were issued, amounted to 30.00 MTPA.

The geological reserves of the mines stood at around 2,194.10 MT, it said.

The ministry also said that the three mines are expected to generate annual revenue to the tune of Rs 2,991.2 crore calculated on the basis of PRC.

The mines will attract capital investment of Rs 4,500 crore and provide direct and indirect employment to approximately 40,560 people.
