In total, Vistara has cancelled over 100 flights in the last two days due to a group of pilots reporting sick in protest of the revised pay structure, and the aviation regulator DGCA has requested that the carrier submit a daily report on the cancellations and delays.
According to sources, Vistara's top officials, including CEO Vinod Kannan, met virtually with pilots to discuss their issues.
Officials from various departments of the airline, including human resources, attended the meeting.
However, Vistara has issued no official statement regarding the meeting with the pilots.
Flight operations are returning to normal, and the number of cancelled flights has decreased, sources said.
According to the sources, airline officials have assured pilots that issues such as rostering and extended working hours will be resolved by May.
They also claimed that the current situation was primarily due to increased use of the available pool of pilots.
Vistara, which is in the process of merging with Air India, employs approximately 1,000 pilots, 200 of whom are in various stages of training.
The airline's summer schedule, which began on March 31, will include slightly more than 300 flights per day.
