Passengers choosing window or aisle seats in the front row of an A321 aircraft, which generally seats 222 passengers, will now be charged Rs 2,000, according to the airlines website.
IndiGo has increased fees for passengers wanting extra legroom in the front row of its aircraft just days after lowering fuel expenses.
Passengers choosing window or aisle seats in the front row of an A321 aircraft, which generally seats 222 passengers, will now be charged Rs 2,000, according to the airline's website.
The aisle seat in the same row is charged at a slightly lower rate of Rs 1,500. Meanwhile, all seat types in the second and third rows are $400 flat.
IndiGo highlights that travellers who do not wish to purchase a preferred seat can select any available free seat or be given one at no extra charge during airport check-in.
These new tariffs are applicable to all A321 planes with 232 seats and A320 aircraft with 180 seats, as indicated on the airline's official website.
