Go First cancels all flights till May 12, to refund tickets soon

Cash-strapped airline Go First on Friday said that it has cancelled all its flights till May 12 due to "operational reasons". The Wadia group-owned carrier has filed a plea for voluntary insolvency resolution proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). The tribunal had reserved its order on the insolvency on Thursday.
"... Due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till 12th May 2023 have been cancelled," the airline said in a tweet.
A full refund will be issued to the original mode of payment shortly, it added.
Go First had initially cancelled all the flights for three days from May 3 to 5, and later extended cancellation of operations till May 9.

Now, as per the latest update, all flights have been grounded till May 12.
On Thursday, aviation regulator DGCA had informed that the cash-strapped airline has suspended sale of all air tickets till May 15.
The aviation watchdog also directed the airline to process the refunds to passengers as per the timelines specifically stipulated in the relevant regulations.
