Passenger in inebriated state arrested in Amritsar for molesting air hostess
The Police said on Monday that Rajinder Singh, who belongs to Kotli village in Jalandhar, got into a heated argument with the air hostess and allegedly molested her.
The unruly behaviour of passengers during flights has become commonplace these days, as every other day some incident of indiscipline grabs the attention of people. At the Amritsar airport on Monday, one such incident came to light when a drunk passenger was arrested for allegedly molesting an air hostess on board a flight from Sharjah to Amritsar.
The Police said on Monday that Rajinder Singh, who belongs to Kotli village in Jalandhar, got into a heated argument with the air hostess and allegedly molested her.
The assistant security manager of the airline lodged a police complaint, and the accused was arrested on landing at Shri Guru Ramdas ji International Airport.
He was booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.
In a shocking incident in January, a drunk peed on a female passenger during an Air India New York-Delhi flight. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation later slapped a fine of Rs 30 lakh on Air India for handling the incident poorly and failing to inform the regulatory body about it.
