According to the aviation company, inbound and outbound flights will remain suspended till April 30, 2024. The company made the announcement on social media platform X, formally known as Twitter.
Air India typically operates four weekly flights between New Delhi and Israeli city. And the decision to suspend these flights comes amid the current situation.
The aviation company said that they are continuously monitoring the situation and are trying to provide a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges.
"We are continuously monitoring the situation and are extending support to our passengers who have confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv during this period, with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges," the company tweeted.
It should be noted that Air India had already announced to temporarily suspend flights to Tel Aviv on April 14 amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran. And today, the company shared an update that these flights will remain suspended till the end of the month.
Earlier, the airline company suspended the services for nearly five months starting from October 7, 2023, due to tensions in the wake of the Israeli city coming under attack by Hamas militants. The services were resumed on March 3.
