US FAA system outage news LIVE UPDATES: Over 1,200 flights were grounded in the United States following a massive computer glitch on the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) computer, as per an advisory issued by the US Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATSCC) on Wednesday. "Technicians are currently working to restore the system and there is no estimate for restoration of the system at the time," the ATSCC advisory said. It has not given a timeline as to when it would be back. By 8 am (local time), more than 2,500 flights got delayed into or out of the United States, according to the flight tracking website FlightAware, exceeding the number of all delayed flights on the previous day, a news report on WION said. More than 150 have been cancelled. It is believed that the numbers are likely o grow. Most delays are concentrated around the East Coast, it added. While the White House denied it as a case of a cyberattack, President Joe Biden has reportedly directed the Department of Transportation to investigate the cause of the disruption.
