Realme is set to launch (hopefully) its Narzo series in the Indian market on May 11. Aimed at Gen Z, the series was initially scheduled to be launched in March but was postponed to April 21 before further postponing it due to the extension of the lockdown. The series comprises of Realme Narzo 10 and Realme Narzo 10A – both set to be unveiled during an online event next week.
“The wait for the much anticipated Narzo series, a brand new generation of power-packed devices from realme, is now finally over. We are glad to invite you to the digital launch of realme Narzo 10 & realme Narzo 10A on 11th May and experience the new future of premium, performance-driven, affordable smartphones,” the company said, in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
It said that the series aims to bring home the ultimate combination of the best gaming performance with a distinct identity and edge for the Gen Z consumers. It will be interesting to see how Realme plans to sell these smartphones with several parts of the country still falling in red zones where deliveries are not allowed.

The Realme Narzo series has been tipped to start around Rs 10,000 in India. The Narzo 10A will be a budget smartphone that could have a Rs 10,000 price tag while the Narzo 10 will be placed higher, somewhere around Rs 13,000 - Rs 14,000. The Realme Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G70 and G80 chipsets, according to earlier rumours.
The company has big plans for 2020 and is set to launch its first ever smart TV in the coming days.
In an exclusive interview with Zee Business earlier last month, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had said that Realme has no plans to change the overall strategy, even as most launches have been postponed for now.
“Everything has been postponed for now to the new timelines. Once things improve and we get the exact timelines, we will launch the Nazro series as well as the Realme TV. We are not cancelling any of the launches. All the launches are likely to be pushed back in the same order. However, we are just waiting for the lockdown to get over and might re-evaluate things,” Sheth said.
