Renamed 'Legends', Zomato has also increased the minimum order value to Rs 5,000 to make each delivery more profitable than earlier.

Previously, Zomato delivered orders to select eateries on the same day, suggesting it had stock of particular foods. This practice has been abandoned, and all dishes are now delivered cold, depending solely on requests.

Zomato said all purchases ordered by 7 PM will be delivered the next day.

In April, the online food delivery firm had stopped the 'Intercity Legends' service and showed a note saying "Closed Now. Be back soon" on its app.

What is the 'Intercity Legends' service feature?

This feature on the Zomato app allows customers to order iconic and famous dishes from other cities in India.

The service is only available to select customers in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and other cities.

Previously, there was no predetermined minimum order value under Intercity Legends, and the ultimate sum varied depending on the user.

Meanwhile, Zomato has received shareholders' nod to establish a new employee stock option pool (ESOP) of 18.2 crore shares, with 75 per cent of investors voting in favour and 25 per cent against it, the company said in an exchange filing.
