Ziqitza Healthcare Limited will now manage 250 ALS ambulances for U.P government

With the commitment to serve people of Uttar Pradesh in their hour of need and to provide continuum of care while transferring patients from lower facility hospital to higher facility hospital, Ziqitza Healthcare Limited will begin operating 250 ALS ambulances in the state from August 2021. The company has received the contract to operate this service in the state and is fully geared to start operations with its qualified and skilled team.
On the occasion of the launch of ALS ambulance service in Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Amitabh Jaipuria, MD & CEO of Ziqitza Healthcare Limited said, “It is indeed a great opportunity for us. The official handover for the ALS ambulance service from the old service provider to Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd (ZHL) was done on 17th August 2021, in the presence of ZHL’s Project Head (Uttar Pradesh) Mr.Deepak Kharbanda, in presence of NHM & other Government officials.
All the ALS ambulances, which will be operated in the state, are equipped with lifesaving equipment such as ventilator, defibrillator, oxygen support and other life-saving equipment and emergency medicines. These ALS ambulances are required to provide continuum of care to the patients being transferred from one hospital to another and hence require trained EMTs. These ALS ambulances will be managed by skilled and experienced team of EMTs and ambulance pilots. The recruitment process have been conducted as per set standards & training have been provided to all new recruits. Also preference have been given to existing EMT’s & drivers those who fulfil the set standards & training procedures. Similar thoughts were voiced by Ziqitza Rajasthan.
Commenting further about the tender and the ambulance service, Mr. Deepak Kharbanda, Project Head (Uttar Pradesh), Ziqitza said, “The entire staff and the manpower required to operate the service in the state is ready. Doctors whose patients require the ALS ambulance service can call the toll free number and issue a referral slip or memo after which the ambulance will be dispatched to transfer the patient. The helpline number at which this service will be made available is 0522-2466510. We are all set and ready to serve the people of Uttar Pradesh for the next five years.”
How to avail the service?
In case of referral of patients from a hospital to a higher facility hospital, the ALS ambulance service by Ziqitza Limited can be availed. For this, the government doctor or the doctor in-charge of the patient needs to issue a referral slip or memo and can call on the toll-free helpline number 0522-2466510 to call the ALS ambulance. The call centre team will check with the hospital’s duty doctor, and after these checks, the patient will be shifted to the ALS ambulance and the referred hospital would be contacted by the team after which the patient will be transported to the higher facility hospital.
