For the second time over newcomer Reliance Jio extended its Prime membership subscription on Tuesday after tweaking its tariff plans.

The telecom operator announced the launch of ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ which would offer customers free data for up to three months.

“Jio further announced new ALL UNLIMITED plans with special benefits, exclusively for its Jio Prime members and aimed at encouraging Jio subscribers to live the Digital Life without restrictions – Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan!” the company said in a release.

Jio offered two new plans under Rs 309 and Rs 509.

“The plans start with the most affordable Rs 309 ALL UNLIMITED PLAN, which provides Unlimited SMS, calling and data (1GB per day at 4G speed) for 3 months on first recharge. The company also announced the Rs 509 ALL UNLIMITED PLAN for daily high data users offering Unlimited SMS, calling and data (2GB per day at 4G speed) for 3 months on first recharge,” Jio said.

Under the the Rs 309 plan customers will get 84GB for a period of 84 days instead of the earlier price of Rs 349 plan; while under the Rs 509 plan customers will get 168GB for 84 days instead of the earlier price of Rs 549 offering 56GB for 28 days.

The company said that the offer will be available for Prime customers’ first recharge only and will not be available for those who have already subscribed to the Jio Summer Surprise offer.

As of April 9 midnight the company was rumoured to have discontinued the plan completely.

Jio has also provided new tariff plans on its company website. For prepaid customers Jio will now offer Rs 149, Rs 309 and Rs 509 only while the postpaid plans have not yet been revealed.

“These plans will be available starting today. Existing Jio customers who have not done their first recharge so far, need to do so by 15 April 2017 to avoid degradation and/or discontinuation of services,” Jio said.
