Yes Bank - fifth largest private lender in India today, gets selected as an index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) in the Emerging Market.

The bank is the first and only Indian bank which has been on the index component list of DJSI in EM, and now this development would be two-years in a row for Yes Bank.

In 2016, the emerging market index comprises of 95 companies from 14 emerging economies China, Brazil, South Africa and Taiwan. 

Out of 108 banks from emerging economies which were invited to participate, Yes Bank is the Indian bank that has been included. 

This year, almost 3400 companies from developed and emerging markets were invited to take part in its annual corporate sustainability assessment (CSA).  Yes Bank underwent a rigorous assessment on over 600 data points.
