After introducing prepaid and postpaid data plans, Vodafone India has now taken one more step ahead in competing against Reliance Jio. The company has now expanded its WiFi device services in midst of upcoming Jio Gigafiber.  Vodafone's 4G MiFi device will allow up to 15 users WiFi access at one time, which is similar to Reliance Jio’s JioFi. RJio has given sleepless nights to every telecom operator including Vodafone, now this Mukesh Ambani led company is just few weeks away in launching Jio Gigafiber on August 15, which will impact the sector to new extent. Therefore, Vodafone and other telcos are forced to bring in new measures to compete.

Under Vodafone's new WiFi device, users will get 150Mbps data speed. The Portable WiFi device reportedly has a battery life of 7 hours. It comes with a Micro SD Card storage support up to 32GB. For security purposes, 4G MiFi device comes with WPS Authentication in addition to regular WiFi password based authentication, according to Telecom Talk. Users will be able to know data about their WiFi device with the help of Hotspot Monitoring App.

The device will have capacity of providing 150Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps Uplink and the MiFi will allow 800/900/1800/2100 Mhz bands on LTE and 900/1800 Mhz on GSM, it said.  The device has 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery  and the dimensions of the device measure 87.6 x 59.6 x 12.9mm.  It has a Micro SD slot which can sport a 32GB microSD card. The telecom service provider came up with the plan after other leading players like Jio and Airtel came up with some plans in this space. Vodafone is now expaning its reach in the mobile WiFi space.
