Vistara adds Amritsar, Leh to direct flight services
With an aim to expand its network, Vistara on Thursday announced addition of two new destinations-Amritsar and Leh- to its direct flight services starting from March and May, respectively this year.
Tata's full service air carrier Vistara will fly direct flights from Delhi to the holy city of Amritsar from March 1 and from Mumbai to Amritsar starting March 8 this year.
The airline will operate direct flights between Delhi and Leh on weekends from March 25 and thereafter, increase the frequency to daily flights starting May 10, cited Vistara in a press release.

The airline's one-way all-in fares from Delhi to Amritsar starts at Rs 1,799 while from Mumbai to Amritsar starts at Rs 3,699. Its one-way all-in fares from Delhi to Leh begins at Rs 2,399.
Customers can book their tickets from Thursday this week across all channels including Vistara's website, iOS and Android mobile apps, online travel agencies (OTAs) and travel agents.
Vistara is confident on expanding its services to the two tourist destinations.
“We are very excited to begin the New Year with the addition of two new destinations to our growing network. The expansion further cements Vistara’s position in the domestic market as a committed player in the Indian aviation sector,” Vistara chief executive officer Phee Teik Yeoh, said in a statement.
“Both these destinations fit perfectly into Vistara’s network strategy, and we’re confident that our customers would look forward to fly ‘the new feeling’ with us on these new routes,” Yeoh added.
“Flights to Amritsar will initially operate six days a week from both Delhi and Mumbai (daily except Mondays), and will increase to daily flights in the summer,” Vistara said.
Similarly, the airline's Leh flights will also increase from weekends only to daily flights in the summer.
